Haunted Encounters: Departed Family and Friends Some of the most emotional ghost stories involve family and friends who have departed from us in death, but pay an occasional visit to those who loved them most. This book will give you a tear on one page and a chuckle on the next as you share the intimate stories with the people who actually had the experiences. Although this is a book of ghost stories, it is a celebration of the lives of these departed family and friends - both the one that they had on Earth, and the one that continues on in another realm.

Ghostly Tales From America's Jails
Curl up with 36 stories, complete with photos, of historical hoosegows from all over the United States. Each jail or prison is now a location for good guys like you to visit, transformed to museums, offices, a theater, even a B&B where the long-deceased sheriff locks up at night!
Considering what happened in these facilities, no wonder a few sundry ghosts have lingered: prisoners destined to replay their misery or guards who never get to retire. Investigators of the paranormal seek verification by way of film, thermal readings, heart rates, and electronic voice phenomena. But as several ghost hunter sites quote Derk Acorah: "To a believer, no proof is necessary. To a disbeliever, no proof is enough."
Get to know the writers through their bios and photos. They'll bring you stories told by people who have experienced the events-from either side of the bars. Museum curators, tour guides, correctional officers, prisoners, and even visitors encounter sounds, scents, sights, and tactile sensations that chill them to the marrow. Yet there's humor too, so have a haunting good time with the tales they've dug up for you.

One of the most fascinatingly, frightful fun books that I’ve read in a long time. No matter where you are going in the U.S., the author has a ghostly place for you to visit. The stories of these hauntings are matched only by the historical background that you’ll find in every chapter. A Ghost in My Suitcase is a delightfully spooky read! – Chris Pennell, Director of Spirit Quest Paranormal

I love this book! There are MANY haunted locations... a site for each of the 50 states. One of my favorite stories was from the Irma Hotel in Cody, Wyoming. The author and his wife personally experienced a ghostly phenomenon right there in the room – I was absolutely chilled! Mitchel Whitington is totally believable and credible; he is a great writer. A Ghost in My Suitcase is highly recommended! – Lindy Ashner, HauntedColorado.net

Loyd Auerbach is one of the longest running veterans in the paranormal investigation field and his experience really shines through in this book. I like the extra detail and candor that he puts into his stories - you come away with the feeling that Mr. Auerbach is someone that you can trust. The case files also begin with a summary prologue of the activity reported before the team went on site; which can aid in diagnosing phenomena of your own by comparing 'symptoms'. Mr. Auerbach also has some strong insights into the nature of ghosts and how investigations should be conducted. -- Society for Paranormal Investigation
